@followthenap’s Stay in San Francisco

July 2019

Alex @followthenap, an Instagram influencer napping his way around the world, was in town for a weekend and stayed in two luxury, metropolitan hotels in downtown San Francisco. He wanted to capture multiple depths of fields in his photos, often the hotel room with the view outside the window, showcasing the setting and surroundings of his stay as much as possible.

San Francisco Proper was the first hotel we shot at. Newly opened in the summer of 2017, the Proper Hotel sits in a historic flatiron building designed by architect Albert Pissis and is centrally located in the city. Three large trays of freshly made breakfast & brunch dishes greeted Alex first thing in the morning — they all smelled delicious and looked very appetizing. In addition to the regular hotel room, he got to enjoy views of the city from the hotel’s rooftop (left photo below) and rooftop bar (right photo below).

Four Seasons, the second hotel we shot at, welcomed Alex with a miniature Golden Gate bridge loaded with adorable sweets & pastries. This particular room in Four Seasons San Francisco alone offered two distinct views of downtown SF. Looking down from the highest floor, you can see people and cars moving slowly and almost hear the hustle & bustle of the city. Once you turn your head from the window & the chestnut-colored curtains, however, you are blessed by the sight of a comfortable, well-made bed — perfect for an afternoon nap.
